Um den Porosit\u00e4tsdefekt zu beseitigen, begannen Juweliere, Palladium hinzuzuf\u00fcgen, das der Legierung eine gewisse Formbarkeit verleiht. Die Kombination dieser drei Metalle ist nicht einfach, da Gold ein hochschmelzendes Metall ist, Aluminium sehr leicht und Palladium sehr hochschmelzend.
