Low-alloy welding electrodes<\/h2>\n
Low-alloy welding electrodes do not require annealing, however, if they have been exposed to moisture, it is better to anneal them at the required temperature.<\/p>\n
If the electrodes have been stored properly and the packaging is intact, they do not require annealing. Otherwise, it is best to anneal them at 100\u00b0C for no more than one hour.<\/p>\n
Cellulose electrodes<\/h3>\n
Cellulose electrodes must have the lowest moisture content in the coating, so they are packed in metal cans, and this type of electrode cannot be baked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t\n
In some situations, welding electrodes must be delivered in vacuum packaging. If the packaging has not been opened and the storage conditions have not been violated, baking the electrodes is not required. If the packaging has been opened or if the electrodes were delivered in vacuum packaging, the use time should not exceed 8 hours. If this time has been exceeded, baking the electrodes is recommended to avoid potential problems.<\/p>\n
Cellulose electrodes packaged in metal cans do not require pre-baking, as their coating must have the lowest possible moisture content. In some cases, welding electrodes must be delivered in vacuum packaging and, after opening, must be used within 8 hours. In this case, pre-baking is not required.<\/p>\n
However, if the time since opening the package exceeds 8 hours, it is recommended to pre-heat the electrodes to avoid potential problems. If the electrodes have been exposed to air, it is also recommended to heat them at 300-350 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n
