It is primarily used to join parts (such as studs) to a metal plate. A characteristic feature of this welding is that the workpiece itself serves as the electrode. If the workpiece is made of unalloyed or low-alloy steel, a flux backing ring is used to protect the weld from oxidation. When the workpiece is made of light or heavy metals, special shielding gases are used. Such gases can be nitrogen or carbon dioxide. Acceptable parameters of the joined part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the pipe can have a diameter from 6 mm to 219 mm, wall thickness 10 mm;<\/li>\n<li>Solid section blank, maximum diameter 32 mm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t<!--<div class='top-banner-pages'>\t\n\n\t<\/div>--->\n\t\n<p>The process of such welding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the workpiece is prepared for welding;<\/li>\n<li>the workpiece is inserted into a special welding device (welding gun);<\/li>\n<li>brought to the plate or metal plate onto which it will be welded;<\/li>\n<li>current is supplied, a welding arc is excited, melting the metals being joined;<\/li>\n<li>The electrical circuit is disconnected and the parts are connected by striking a pin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Metal oxides and contaminants are removed along with the liquid metal. The quality of this connection is high enough to withstand significant loads.<\/p>\n<p>A system for automatically maintaining the welding arc gap has been developed, significantly increasing the efficiency of the joining process. This technology is based on the laws of physics: the electric arc moves in a transverse magnetic field. This field is generated by permanent magnets between the ends of the parts being welded. The relatively high arc speed causes its power to be redistributed across the entire surface of the part. This ensures uniform heating of the ends being welded. To maximize surface heating, the arc gap between the ends of the parts is maintained within specified limits. <strong>Arc-press welding <\/strong>In the modern world, welding has made great strides. Welding equipment can operate in two ways:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Accelerated;<\/li>\n<li>Dugov.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!---<div class='top-banner-pages'>\n\n<\/div>-->\n\n\t\n<p>The accelerated method is very fast and allows the use of studs with any tip. The part can be welded to a dirty or greasy metal surface, provided the thickness does not exceed 0.6 mm. A shielding gas protects the weld pool. The use of shielding gas is especially important when welding aluminum. The studs being welded can be made of various materials and sizes.<\/p>\n<p>The arc method is not much different from the accelerated method. It is used to weld overlay studs of various geometric shapes to a metal surface, the thickness of which must be at least 1\/4 of the stud diameter. Ceramic washers are used to protect the weld pool from external influences. <strong>Arc-press welding <\/strong>\u00a0Welds metals securely using high-precision Alpha 850 welding equipment, which utilizes a short-cycle, drawn-out arc method. Nelweld welding equipment also uses this method.
