Puisque l&#039;oxyg\u00e8ne coupe la surface m\u00e9tallique chauff\u00e9e, celle-ci doit \u00eatre chauff\u00e9e \u00e0 1\u00a0000-1\u00a0200 \u00b0C.<sup>0<\/sup>L&#039;oxyg\u00e8ne p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans le m\u00e9tal et s&#039;enflamme au contact de la surface. Un apport continu d&#039;oxyg\u00e8ne est essentiel pour une coupe nette.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coupage au gaz du m\u00e9tal <\/strong>L&#039;oxycoupage peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 avec une combinaison de propane et d&#039;ac\u00e9tyl\u00e8ne, mais cette m\u00e9thode est r\u00e9serv\u00e9e \u00e0 la d\u00e9coupe des m\u00e9taux \u00e0 haute r\u00e9sistance.
