Cet or n&#039;existe pas \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9tat naturel. Un m\u00e9tallurgiste singapourien a invent\u00e9 une m\u00e9thode pour le produire. En 1999, il a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un alliage violet de 19 carats contenant 80 % d&#039;or et 20 % d&#039;aluminium et de palladium. Cet or ressemble \u00e0 un alliage de joaillerie \u00e0 base de palladium et d&#039;aluminium. Cet alliage d&#039;or est d&#039;une grande puret\u00e9\u00a0; selon les \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui le composent, il atteint 18 ou 19 carats.<\/p>\n\n\t<!--<div class='top-banner-pages'>\t\n\n\t<\/div>--->\n\t\n<p><strong>M\u00e9tal dor\u00e9 violet <\/strong>Compos\u00e9 interm\u00e9tallique contenant un atome d&#039;or pour deux atomes d&#039;aluminium. Malheureusement, cet alliage est tr\u00e8s fragile et donc pratiquement impossible \u00e0 transformer (forgeage, laminage, meulage, \u00e9tirage). La temp\u00e9rature d&#039;alliage des m\u00e9taux est de 5\u00a0000 \u00b0C.<sup>0<\/sup>C, qui produit un alliage violet. Pour \u00e9liminer ce d\u00e9faut de porosit\u00e9, les bijoutiers ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 ajouter du palladium, qui conf\u00e8re une certaine mall\u00e9abilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#039;alliage. Combiner ces trois m\u00e9taux n&#039;est pas chose ais\u00e9e\u00a0: l&#039;or est un m\u00e9tal r\u00e9fractaire, l&#039;aluminium est tr\u00e8s l\u00e9ger et le palladium est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9fractaire. Gr\u00e2ce aux technologies les plus r\u00e9centes, cet alliage est test\u00e9 des centaines de fois avant d&#039;\u00eatre mis \u00e0 la disposition du consommateur. On l&#039;utilise donc seul en bijouterie ou en association avec des m\u00e9taux pr\u00e9cieux classiques. Cet alliage ne provoque pas de r\u00e9actions allergiques, ce qui est un atout majeur pour les personnes allergiques.
