Em temperaturas acima de 100<sup>0\u00a0<\/sup>C reage com \u00e1cido n\u00edtrico e \u00e1gua r\u00e9gia.<\/p>\n<p>As ligas de zirc\u00f4nio s\u00e3o amplamente utilizadas desde a d\u00e9cada de 1930 e s\u00e3o ainda mais utilizadas atualmente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>na energia nuclear, at\u00f4mica para fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de elementos combust\u00edveis, conjuntos e estruturas de reatores nucleares;<\/li>\n<li>na metalurgia \u00e9 usado como aditivo de liga, o que melhora significativamente as propriedades mec\u00e2nicas dos metais e torna as ligas de cobre fortes e resistentes ao calor;<\/li>\n<li>em pirotecnia;<\/li>\n<li>um excelente supercondutor, suporta cargas de at\u00e9 100.000 A\/cm<sup>2<\/sup>;<\/li>\n<li>usado como material estrutural para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de reatores qu\u00edmicos, bombas e conex\u00f5es resistentes a \u00e1cidos;<\/li>\n<li>alta resist\u00eancia qu\u00edmica permite a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de diversos utens\u00edlios aliment\u00edcios;<\/li>\n<li>na ind\u00fastria de joias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pre\u00e7o do zirc\u00f4nio <\/strong>Pode variar e depende do tipo de produto de zirc\u00f4nio. <strong>Pre\u00e7o do zirc\u00f4nio <\/strong>De US$ 100 a US$ 500 por kg no mercado global.
